Gdynia Modernism InfoBox gathers information about Gdynia Early Modernist City Centre, which in 2015 was recognised as Historical Monument, and in 2024, by the decision of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, is the only Polish representative applying for inclusion on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
In the main room of Gdynia Modernism InfoBox there is a huge model of the central part of the city, measuring 8×4 m. It impresses not only with its size, but also with its attention to details. The area of the Modernist City Centre recognised as Historical Monument is illuminated on the model. In addition, selected buildings, representing the essence of modernism, can also get illuminated. Almost 140 buildings were erected in Świętojańska Street, the remaining 310 buildings can be found in other central streets of Gdynia. The city model is complemented by large screens that take the visitors on a unique film journey along the modernist routes of Gdynia City Centre.
It is also worth seeing the exhibition presenting the jewels of Gdynia's modernism, as well as looking at large models of selected iconic buildings. Each object presented at the exhibition is a rarity and only a foretaste of what can actually be seen on Gdynia Modernism Trail.
