A municipal cultural institution located in the historical, renovated, modernist building of the "Consulate of Culture", originally called the "House of Swedish Sailor", at 25 Jana z Kolna Street, a building designed by the Warsaw architect Stanisław Płoski. The "Consulate of Culture" was established as a joint platform of the City of Gdynia and Gdynia Cultural Centre, facilitating the implementation of many valuable cultural and educational initiatives, including theatrical and literary activities, and those designed at the intersection of art and architecture. Inside the building one will find a multifunctional theatre hall, an artistic café and an impressive patio. For several years, this place, just like Gdynia Film Centre, has been the main place for meetings and architectural lectures during the "Architecture Weekend in Gdynia" – the flagship festival of Gdynia Modernism Trail.
