Archi-Tours

Themed architectural tours are designed for the most demanding enthusiasts of modernist architecture, and they are carefully prepared by architectural experts and the team of Gdynia Modernism Trail. During approx.  During the 3.5-hour walk, the participants can deepen their knowledge and get to know Gdynia's architecture outside the City Centre while exploring other districts. Those especially interested in the topic are welcome to join the tours dedicated to selected artists, architects of Gdynia's modernism, or to specific attributes or distinguishing features of buildings, e.g. details of staircases, facades, windows and doors.

Holidays with Modernism

Free summer walks with certified tour guides of Gdynia Modernism Trail. Each edition includes 9 weekend tours, focused on architectural education, along the routes of the historical City Centre. The programme will familiarise tourists and residents with Gdynia's modernism, architecture, and history. The walks also help build local identity and increase awareness of the city's modernist heritage: tangible (buildings, objects and their details) and intangible (memory, stories about Gdynia's residents, builders and architects). Every year, the tours attract hundreds of new participants who can learn about the history and architectural details of apartment houses and buildings, look inside modernist objects and admire exceptionally photogenic modernist staircases.
