A unique festival of architecture and urban space, held for several days every year since 2011, at the end of August.
The programme of the festival includes many open events, including special Archi-Tours, 3 days of Archi-Lectures (with several dozen lectures and discussions), as well as film screenings, themed and photographic exhibitions and meetings, each year devoted to a selected main topic. "Weekend of Architecture" is also the flagship proposal of Gdynia Modernism Trail addressed to tourists, residents and professionals, including scholars of architecture.
Every year, the organisers (the City of Gdynia and Gdynia Development Agency) invite experts, enthusiasts and promoters of modernism in Poland and around the world, as well as award-winning architects, urban planners and designers. Gdynia as a "City of Modernism" inspires many artists, which results in the growing popularity of events at the intersection of architecture and creative industries, such as the "Gdynia's Modernism in the Lens" competition, which will take place for the 14th time.
