The City of Gdynia and Gdynia Modernism Trail invite you to a series of open architecture tours entitled “Holidays with Modernism”.
The summer events are aimed at both tourists and residents. The offer focuses on selected architectural, historical and educational themes, while each edition of the walks is based on a different, specially prepared route.
Selected themes of the summer tours:
We will draw your attention to the archi-details of the apartment houses, the nuances, the finishing materials of the façades and the interiors of the staircases. We will delve deeper into the history of creating the most representative public buildings. The walks will also be based on social themes - concerning investors, residents and builders. We will tell you about selected figures and the work of architects (including those from the Department of Architecture at the Lviv Polytechnic and the Department of Architecture at the Technical University of Warsaw). We will pay attention to the furnishings of buildings - both the early functional ones and the avant-garde realisations in the Lux trend.
