Archi Detal part 3: Architectural Tour entitled. ‘Secrets of the interiors and architectural details of the BANKOWCA’
We would like to invite you to a special edition of a walk around the interiors of ‘BANKOWCA’, a pearl of Gdynia modernism, during which we will visit places and nooks accessible for years only to conservators and managers of the building. The guide and narrator of the walk will be Maria Piradoff-Link, curator of the Mini Museum, researcher of the history of the details and technical equipment of the Bankowiec complex. In addition to the most valuable details and preserved elements of furnishings of the flats, we will also reach the technical rooms with the preserved mechanical ventilation system of the garage, the room of the pre-war laundry with a mangle, washbasin, tables, and we will see the unique construction of the gazebo on the upper floors. Visiting selected cages, we will learn about the aesthetic and colour nuances of the design and execution of the terazzo - in excellent condition preserved to this day. The in situ story will be combined with the presentation of reprints of pre-war catalogue material - manufacturers of interior design elements, collected over the years by Maria Piradoff-Link.
