Archi Detal part 4: Architectural walk entitled. ‘Tenements with a soul - the architecture of detail’.
We warmly invite you to the fourth edition of the Gdynia Modernism Route event in the Archi-Detail series. The guides of the December edition of the walk will be Tricity researchers and lovers of old interiors and architectural details Karolina Bednarska and Ryszard Kopittke.
‘Tenements with a soul - the architecture of detail’ is a proposal for a walk for lovers of details of Gdynia tenements from the interwar period, including those realised in the spirit of early functionalism. The authors of the route - lovers of historic interiors - will take us to places that are normally inaccessible, but which inspire and stir the imagination, sharpening the sense of observation and sensitivity to the nuances of conservation.
As the authors of the tour promise us - the walk will be, a multithreaded story that will take us back to the times of the outstanding craftsmen and builders in their craft, including master carpenters, bricklayers, plaster and stone work, as well as the now vanishing art of woodcarving.
