Gdynia Maritime University (UMG)

Partner of the City of Gdynia and Gdynia Modernism Trail. The University facilities have repeatedly hosted participants of international scientific conferences "Modernism in Gdynia - Modernism in the World", and recurrent events "Wspólnie dbamy o gdyńskie zabytki" ("Caring for Gdynia's Monuments Together").  Both the main university building and the building of the Faculty of Navigation are the examples of Gdynia's modernist architecture. Both buildings underwent thorough conservation and renovation works, co-financed by the EU and Gdynia City Hall. The facilities are made available to a wider audience as part of Archi-Tours, lectures and educational workshops (e.g. led by Anna Nowakowska's conservation studio Fresco, or the "Polanka Foundation"). Gdynia Maritime University promotes modernist heritage in a wider form, as part of events and promotion of tourism, and inter-university exchange projects.
