National Heritage Institute (NID)

National institution subordinate to the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. The Institute plays a strategic role in the heritage conservation activities and dissemination of knowledge about monuments, as well as setting standards for their protection and conservation.

The Institute also aims to promote good practices and create public awareness favourable to the preservation of heritage for future generations, including architectural heritage. The Institute publishes the quarterly "Ochrona zabytków" ("Protection of Monuments"). The organization was also the co-organiser of conferences and meetings in Gdynia devoted to the protection of monuments, in addition, the institution is a Partner of both scientific conferences and events popularising modernist architecture in Gdynia, including "Architecture Weekend".
