An exceptionally run and organised public institution, which deals with, among others, the promotion and education of contemporary architecture, as well as the care and protection of architectural and urban heritage of the 20th century. The Institute has been cooperating for many years on the creation and promotion of the architectural events in Poland and in Gdynia, including their being the Main Strategic Partner of the "Architecture Weekend" Festival in Gdynia for 4 years. The Institute focuses on publishing, educational and research activities – producing and distributing the original film series 'Rzeczpospolita Modernistyczna' ('The Republic of Modernism'), developing lesson plans and workshops for children and young people, promoting the open use of the professional platform for knowledge base and experience exchange (ADE – architecture for education), conducting interviews with architects and researchers of modernism, and finally creating an open database of audio and photo materials.
