The social historical exhibition, referred to as the Mini Museum "Bankowiec", is the result of a unique grassroots initiative to popularise the heritage of modernism and the history of one of the most important modernist buildings in Poland. It is located on the underground level of the building at No. 27–31 3 Maja Street, created upon the initiative of its residents in 2009. It contains memorabilia, original elements of apartment equipment and common areas from the 1930s. The collected original elements of the equipment and common areas were the basis for the creation of the exhibition “Glass, Metal, Detail. Gdynia’s Architecture in Detail” („Szkło-metal-detal. Architektura Gdyni w szczegółach”) presented in the Gdynia City Museum, and in Warsaw at the Jabłkowscy Brothers House. The exhibition received the title of "Historical Event of 2016" in the 'Exhibition' category, in a competition organised by the Polish History Museum. In 2017, the Mini Museum won the 1st prize for an educational project on cultural heritage in the competition of the General Conservator of Monuments “Known Monument” (“Zabytek Poznany”), in the category of Exhibitions and Multimedia Projects. The Mini Museum exhibition is available free of charge during various cultural events, as well as at certain times for anybody who is interested in visiting. On a yearly basis, the Mini Museum is visited by several thousand people.
The founder and curator of the Mini Museum is Maria Piradoff-Link, who is a devoted and excellent promoter of the modernist heritage. In 2019, Ms. Piradoff-Link was awarded by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage with the silver badge "For the Care of Monuments".
