Gdynia City Centre is unique on a global scale.
The historical area of Gdynia, which has the status of Historical Monument, is covered by three main routes of Gdynia Modernism Trail – a rich programme of active and creative exploration of Gdynia's architecture. The Trail proposes a number of activities and events, such as: Weekend of Architecture (every year, at the end of summer, since 2011), summer guided tours along Gdynia City Centre routes, entitled "Holidays with Modernism", workshops, Photo-Tours, as well as a prestigious photo competition – "Gdynia Modernism in Lens". Fans of modernism can also participate in open architecture-themed walks in other districts of the city, including: Działki Leśne, Grabówek, Redłowo, Witomino, Orłowo and Chylonia.
