Kamienna Góra

This part of the Modernism Trail runs along one of the most picturesque and prestigious parts of Gdynia – the former summer resort, also called 'Kamieniec Pomorski'.

The Kamienna Góra district presents many styles typical of residential villa buildings of the 1920s and 1930s, in the Second Polish Republic. The most interesting objects of Gdynia's modernism on the Kamienna Góra route include the Opolanka multifamily house (10) and the Polskarob residential and office building (6). The villa of Countess Łosiowa designed by Zbigniew Kupiec and Tadeusz Kossak is a classic example of the so-called cubic functionalism. The same duo of architects were the authors of Piotrowski's villa, referring, among others, to maritime trends and cubic expressionism. What is more, the walk along the Kamienna Góra route is an excellent opportunity to see the breathtaking panorama of the city and the Gdańsk Bay
