Former National Development Bank building
The building was designed by Konstanty Jakimowicz, and its construction and subsequent alterations took place in 1928–1929 and 1937–1939. The building exemplifies moderate modernism in a more vertical style. The distinctive, projecting sections of the façade are called avant-corps – their form draws on classical architectural solutions and lends the building a stately character. It currently houses the headquarters of Bank Pekao S.A.
