The apartment house with large glazed corner verandas ("winter gardens") was built in 1936, according to the design of the Cracow architect Edward Fuhrschmied, prepared for two Warsaw merchants.
It combines the features of late cubic functionalism with the luxury trend of the 1930s. The apartment house has a very well preserved, luxuriously finished staircase, which is one of the most decorative in Gdynia (a fragment of the staircase can be seen through the glazed entrance door).
